Dear Iliff Community:

I invite each of us to pause for a moment where you are, take a breath, and remember the victims of yesterday’s mass shooting in Boulder. Go ahead…take a moment (pause as you need)…Sadly, for the residents of our region, mass shootings are nothing new. And, this shooting comes in the immediate wake of the Georgia shooting. While we do not have a stated motivation named in yesterday’s event, we are reminded of the escalation of gun violence in our culture. Gun violence is dehumanizing. At Iliff we work to call forth and see the dignity of humanity in all of its expressions. So, perhaps this news has hit your own humanity with hurt, anxiety, despair, anger…this is your wonderful humanness speaking to you and reminding you of your own differentiating hope and vision for which you are willing to work. Thank you. Don’t forget to take care of yourself along the way…
