Theological education isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are today’s leaders. At Iliff, our new curriculum offers focused concentrations that allow you to tailor your education to your passions and professional goals.
Launching in Fall 2025, these concentrations address the real-world issues you care about, providing both the knowledge and practical skills you need to lead.
New Concentrations
Social Justice and Ethics
This concentration is for those who want to take on the structural injustices that shape our world. It combines interdisciplinary analysis of social justice movements, ethical frameworks, and strategies for enacting systemic change. Graduates will be prepared for leadership in nonprofits, advocacy groups, and more.
Embodied Spirituality
Explore how spirituality connects with physical embodiment, cultural identity, and resilience. This concentration is perfect for students interested in the intersections of spirituality, justice, and healing—whether through ritual, community practices, or personal reflection.
Religion, Trauma, and Healing
Trauma is a reality for many individuals and communities, and religious spaces can play a powerful role in both harm and healing. This concentration equips students to understand and address trauma—historical, religious, psychological—while offering tools for healing and reparation in communities affected by injustice or religious trauma.
Professional Ministries in Context (MDiv only)
For those pursuing leadership in religious and non-religious contexts, this concentration offers a comprehensive approach to ministry, leadership, and community service. Whether you plan to lead a congregation, serve as a chaplain, or work in a social justice organization, this concentration provides the practical and intellectual tools to succeed and meet ordination requirements.
Additional DMin Concentration
Prophetic Leadership
Iliff’s Prophetic Leadership concentration, part of the DMin program, prepares learners to create, understand, and assess leadership approaches that invite profound, life-giving change. Students critically examine prophetic models in religious texts and history, connecting these insights to community-based action and justice-seeking leadership. Graduates develop advanced skills in research, community building, and visionary leadership for diverse cultural contexts.
