Born in Paris, TX. I attended 11 schools between First and twelfth Grade, graduating from Tom S. Lubbock H.S, Lubbock, TX, ’59. Graduated Texas Tech University, ’64. Married Terry Tune June 20, 1959. Attended Iliff, ’64-’67. We adopted our two children, Leslie & Brett. Served churches in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming. Licensed to preach, ’59 and first appointment, ’60. Ordained Deacon, ’65 & Elder, ’67. Retired from UMC in 2006, 46 years of service. Have done 4 interim ministries. Seved congregations in Boulder, Alamosa/Blanca, Colorado Springs, Glenwood Springs, Grand Junction, Greeley, Carpenter, Wy, Rawlins, WY, and Fort Collins. Was campus minister, Adams State College and District Superintendent. Served UMC on Western Jurisdiction Camping Comm.; Korean Ministries, Western Jurisdiction; attended World Methodist Conferences in Rio & Brighton, England, delegate from Rocky Mtn. Served on community committees where I’ve lived. Accreditation Committee, chair of communities committee, Colorado Mountain College, Glenwood Springs. Honorary Associate of Arts Degree, Colorado Mountain College. Several years riding bike. Three Grand Daughters and 4 Great Grands. Served Rocky Mtn Conference UMC: Trustees, Camping, Higher Education, Board of Ordained Ministry, Long Range Planning, Diaconal Ministry.
