Dr. Stephanie Krusemark – Vice President of
Enrollment Management
Dr. Krusemark served as a presenter at the 2013 Annual Research, Education, Activism, and Performance (REAP) conference as part of The Spirituals Project of the University of Denver. Her presentation, Reclaiming the History of African American Women at the University of Denver: The Life of Madame Emma Azalia Smith Hackley (1867-1922) inspired Dr. Jacqueline Hairston, award-wining composer, to create an original spiritual entitled “The Multi-Layered Legacy of Madame E. Azalia Hackley” that was premiered at New Hope Baptist Church in company with Dr. Nikki Giovanni, the world renowned poet, writer, commentator, activist, and educator and the late Dr. Vincent Harding, Civil Rights historian, activist, and professor emeritus of Religion and Social Transformation at Denver’s Iliff School of Theology.
Her commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is evident in her ability to immerse social justice practices in her approach to strategic enrollment which has led her into leadership roles at Naropa University, Prescott College, Santa Clara University, and Trinity Washington University. Her commitment to student success was most recently leveraged in the ed-tech world as the first Vice President of University Relations for Mentor Collective where she served as a strategic thought partner to 70+ colleges and universities across the U.S. to close the equity achievement gap by leveraging peer and alumni mentorship. She recently co-authored an article on peer mentorship in Liberal Education, a quarterly publication of the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AAC&U).
She is a member of the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals Experts Bureau, serves on the AACRAO SEMQ Editorial Board and Admit It podcast host, and currently serves as the co-lead of the AUMTS enrollment group, a group of enrollment professionals representing the 13 United Methodist seminaries across the country. She has been a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), Critical Race Studies in Education Association, National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and NAGAP – The Leader in Graduate Enrollment Management. She has shared her perspectives on women’s leadership and enrollment management in the Journal of College Admission and benzinga.com.
