The Journey MDIV provides professional theological education for college graduates preparing for ministry or other forms of religious leadership. Your faculty and course work are the same as for those students completing their MDIV through other options at Iliff. Before starting the journey, you’ll want to check on your denomination’s requirements (know that Iliff’s program is approved by the Association of Theological Schools through 2018).

During the course of your journey, you’ll explore:

  • Religions in a changing world
  • Bible, canons, and criticism
  • Christianity and cultures in historical perspective
  • Theology and moral practice
  • Practical theology, social analysis and religious leadership

In addition, you’ll get to know your classmates through “Journey Days,” a time for on-campus coursework, with designated days (10 days) during August at the start of your first and second years. There’s also an opportunity to enjoy Iliff’s transformational community through “Gathering Days,” when all students taking hybrid classes come to campus for a time of fellowship, learning, and community.
